Intentional Hope

Happy New Year Readers!

There is so much to be hopeful about as we embark on 2024, but let’s talk about 2023.

Last year, I wanted to get to know God’s character.

I was intentional with my decision and I committed myself to the reading of the Bible every day…and it paid off.

What I mean is that, throughout the year, I noticed changes in my reactions to certain situations beyond my control.

Learning to recognize who God is in accordance with scripture helped me process and navigate my life to the extent that I almost don’t recognize the old me.

At first, reading through the Bible in a year was simply something to check off my list of must-dos.

It wasn’t until an episode of the Bible Recap Podcast presented a very practical way of reading through scripture: Look for God rather than whatever is happening in your life.

For me, this was what many of us refer to as a real “lightbulb moment.” Less me, and more God.

This realization made me intentional about knowing God for myself and what I should be looking for as I try to.

Intention creates hope.

And where there’s hope… there’s a way.

OMG! this is beautiful. Every day I said to myself, Im going to start reading my bible, ..not just on Sunday. Now I’m going to try to read my Bible everyday. Thanks Katherine Olivia. This testimony is an encouragment. Love you.
